COSCO SHIPPING HEAVY INDUSTRY CO.,LTD., operates five (5) subsidiary ship-repair dedicated yards which are located in the most important sites along China's coast line, equipped with docks ranging from DWT 50,000 to over 300,000, and 15km long excellent deep-water coastline.

COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. - "CHI (Shanghai)" (ex. CIC Changxing Shipyard), is located at Changxing Island. Since December of 2016, the company has been reorganized and operates under the roof of COSCO SHIPPING HEAVY INDUSTRY CO. LTD.
It is a modern enterprise and is considered to be one of the biggest bases for the repair of ships and offshore projects. The shipyard is adjacent to Shanghai’s Waigaoqiao container terminal and Ro-Ro wharf and it is linked / connected with Shanghai downtown by a Cross-river tunnel. The premium & convenient geographical position of the shipyard does not require from the owner to compensate for extra tuggage or pilotage that is needed for other shipyards located up stream.
COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. - "CHI (Shanghai)", with deep waters up to 16 meters and 3500m long coast line can accommodate up to VLLC vessels, for general large scale ship repair, but also it can undertake offshore engineering projects including the conversion work of FPSO and oil drilling platform.
The Company implements an integrative managing system of “Quality, Environment and Professional Health and Safety. It is the first ship-repair company in China authenticated by DNV.
Based on the modern corporation standard, the Company has already provided repairing services for domestic and overseas renowned ship owners from Greece, USA, Norway, Germany, Turkey, Singapore, Hong Kong, etc. It has won the reputation for its high quality, precise repair duration and good service.
